I use my voice on a daily basis as a radio news announcer.
I’ve learned that though I should be impartial when it comes to news, I still have to interpret the copy for my audience. In order to convey the meaning of stories, copy interpretation helps bring certain points to life. As a college instructor and a former elementary school teacher, interpreting lessons is one of the keys to an engaging lesson. If I write a lesson I think is exciting, but I deliver the lesson in a lackluster manner—the lesson might fall flat. Lesson delivery is as important as the lesson’s content. I believe the same thing about voice over copy.
