My Training

Training came from doing personal favors for friends/co-workers, babysitting and an unlimited imagination. I always created characters (read: imaginary friends) when I was a child and they each had their own distinct voice. I began writing stories of my own--including comic strips--and assigned voices to each character whether they were children, adult, male or female.

As a creative writer, I make it a point to speak mentally in the voice of my characters to bring them to life.

Additional Skills

I am currently completing a children's picture book and based on the flow of the story and the main character, publishers feel it would make a great audio book. Instead of auditioning voice overs, I was asked to do the honors based on my ability to bring forth a narrative tone to my voice that reaches the target audience - in this case, children under 12 years of age.
