My Voice Experience

Former M.C. for famous Irish youth dance troupe (wrote and hosted dozens of public entertainment shows). As President of San Antonio chapter of International Assoc. of Business Communicators, I host monthly business seminars for industry peers. At one point, I wrote on-hold messages for various industries.....Somewhere along the path of my career, I began receiving compliments from associates for my smooth oral presentations, so I decided to marry my written communications work to my new voice talent career. It's an early, loving marriage of the two parts of me! I would be honored to be the confident, smooth voice your organization needs to build that all-important trust factor with your audiences.

My Training

Award-winning journalist/writer offering 25 years of corporate communications experience in public speaking, business writing, copy editing, and interviewing for organizations nationwide. I CREATE and KNOW quality communications work (see BastianPR.com). Author of well over 400 articles and brochures produced for corporations and governments in myriad industries. ~~ My years of experience have prepared me well for the mental and speaking elements of voiceover work, and helps me produce quality broadcast and voiceover productions (messages, greetings, readings) for clients. I possess a B.A. English; a Journalism Certificate; and professional certification as a Certified Business Communicator (CBC) by Business Marketing Association (only 3,500 people have this).

My awarding-winning business writing, editing and interviewing skills allow me to understand the nuances of the words to be spoken for marketing, advertising and PR copy. I understand clearly what works (and doesn't work) in terms of not only how the copy sounds, but more importantly, if the words themselves are "on target" to meet specific business objectives and goals. I also offer editing or review services of voiceover materials to ensure the message is correctly communicated on paper first before it goes to the creative process of being translated into sound. Not many voiceover talents have this depth of experience.
