My Voice Experience
I have completed one recording project with the Fairytale company in which I played the old maid/narrator, young maid and a witch. The roles were wide ranging and hard work as they required a lot of modification and concetration to achieve. The old maid featured heavily throughout the recording as did the witch. The old maid was a gravely slow speed vocal, which was very well spoken, the witch was high pitched and South East England dialect. The work done here subsequently led to a series of work shops for the Edinburgh and Glasgow book festivals where childern were taught how to use their body and voice to create a charcter and focus on the importance of characterisation rather than look.
My Training
I have worked with Apollo players theatre group and Scottich Youth Theatre, performing in a variety of plays, operas and musicals.
I studied opera with a choir, Sang Schule Choir in Aberdeen my place of birth, I have also performed in concerts at the Royal Concert Hall Glasgow which involved opera and solo performances relating to previous operatic training.
