Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Great kooky kid voices, speech impediments. Raspy squeaky characters to warm low tones. Rich low voice with lots of character and depth as my natural speaking voice. I can also imitate most accents including: Various British, Irish, French, Italian, Eastern European, Regional US (southern, Minnesotan', New England, New York/New Jersey) and more. Great ear for mimicking. Claims to fame: Eerie Macy Gray impression, Carol Channing, cartoon kids, Sarah Palin.

My Voice Experience

After using my voice on the stage for many many years, I was told just one too many times to get myself into Voice Overs. Always using my voice as a story teller and improviser I decided to give it a shot. New to the business side of things I was lending my voice to numerous projects for friends. After landing a VO spot for a promo for DC comics(see link below for a listen) a friend brought me into his agency to record a demo and since then I've had a lot of great response from folks in the field. Now starting to build a name for myself I'm looking forward to opening up to all different ways to use this voice! I love creating new characters or using my voice in new ways. I like to think of myself as the Sybil of the VO world...lots of personalities ;)

My Training

I have a BFA in Drama from Syracuse University. I have trained extensively in Acting, Voice (both speech and song)Dance. As a member of the audition based OneonOne I've also taken several VO workshops with some of the top industry professionals. Here in NY I continued my acting work at One on One, as well as with Shauna Canter and Carl Forsman. Vocal work here has been with Joan Hart Willard and Dr. Anat Keidar to name a few.

Additional Skills

I can clap with one hand, imitate almost anything I hear vocally, make ridiculous contorted faces that I've practiced for years. I'm also a drama/dance teacher to thousands of elementary aged kids here in NYC every year. I have a beagle, and run a theatre company specializing in dark comedy shorts and Puppet shows! I do many puppet shows around town for several companies, as well as my own.
