Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I'm most proficient with an American accent but I am able to include a southern and valley girl variation. I have been performing daily news and long form documentary narrations for the past year and a half as well.

My Voice Experience

Perform voice over’s for a myriad of different program episode promos, generic show promos, welcome spots, paid client spots, holiday promos, station imaging promos; station interstitials - community bulletin boards, “News Breaks,” “Around Town with Hal Lamar;” phone application - Call on Faith “Spirit Boost” app that offers encouraging quotations (available on Droid Network and iPhone App Store); and long form documentary narration (30 minute, 60 minute, and 5 part series). Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters 2008-current.

My Training

I attended Howard University, majored in communications, and graduated with honors in 2004, graduated with honors from Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 2007, perform voice-overs for AIB from 2009-current.

My Studio Equipment

I own a MacBook Pro with an external microphone and Adobe Audition. I also have access to a TV studio which has audio recording capabilities.

Additional Skills

In my time at AIB, I have been afforded the opportunity to hone my natural abilities to organize, be creative and write. I’ve become proficient at effectively communicating with the production, programming, and marketing departments as well as clients and guests, and also researching/writing/developing news, children’s and educational programming. I have been, and continue to be, an on-air talent and VO performer and enjoy working in a team environment. I welcome any critiques when working as a vo talent and I am open to suggestions and direction.
