Voice Description

My voice has been described as warm, smooth, fresh, bright, young, sexy, sultry, clear, characters, versatile, classy, seductive, but that you will have to judge for yourself!

Accent free British Received Pronunciation (RP), otherwise known as Queen's English, or BBC. However, Lindsay's a bit of a hybrid and can easily and naturally slip into a London accent, either for a more relaxed read, or with attitude!

Lindsay's voice has been described as warm, 'strawberries and cream', sultry, as well as fast becoming known for her versatility in the voice over industry.

She delivers corporate narration and e-learning materials, commercials and audiobooks, plus a whole host of characters and age ranges for cartoon and animation, games and toys.

Lindsay is extremely professional, and works with her clients to get the best results - every time, and with fast turnaround.

My Voice Experience

As well as straight reads, Lindsay often finds herself in demand when the client needs require several 'voices' from her on the same project, and is becoming known for her overall versatility in the voiceover world.

Lindsay began voicing around 15 years ago on a part-time basis, but has been enjoying a full-time voice over career for nearly three years now.

My Training

A professional singer and actor, a graduate of the University of Birmingham with an honours degree in Drama & Theatre Arts (including Music). Lindsay's final dissertation focused on the development of the spoken voice in theatrical performance.

Postgraduate training as an actor/singer at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting (GSA)in the UK.

Lindsay's music and actor training has given her a good understanding of timing, pitch, rhythm, emphasis and intonation. Her sharp musical ear enables her to demonstrate attention to detail, and actor training has given her the ability to be both flexible and versatile, and to take direction well.

Own digital studio for recording to broadcast quality standard and the ability to turn around as a raw, or dry edited file, in most commonly known audio formats such as .wav, .mp3 and .aif formats via FTP or email, usually within 24 hours or less.

Corporate background, more specifically within Human Resources, and on corporate work this is an advantage, as it enables Lindsay to understand more fully the requirements and often subject matter of the content/jargon.
