Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Country grandmother based on my West Virginian grandmother, Filipino accent in English based on my other grandmother, Paula Deen from Food Network, Slightly gruff stoner girl from Berkeley, Energetic valley girl, Higher pitched mid-upper class British like from BBC, Muppet voice similar to Kermit the Frog, Drag Queen (think man trying to sound feminine).

My Voice Experience

I've done commercials for Wahoo's Fish Tacos aimed at 20-30 year olds in the Bay Area and Turbo Tax to be used on the internet. I've also recorded promotions for KITS, a CBS Radio station in San Francisco. Pre-voice over experience includes stage work. My favorite comedic role was as Tweedle Dee in Alice in Wonderland. My favorite scary role was as the Conjur Woman in Dark of the Moon where I got to channel an spooky, angry version of my West Virginian Grandmother. My very first role was as Lady Brockhurst in the musical The Boyfriend where I was coached by a middle aged English woman to be an old English woman.

My Training

Currently in college pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Radio & Television Broadcasting. I've worked at the college radio station, KCRH, and am an intern at the commercial radio station, KITS, in the San Francisco market. I also hosted Licks on WomensRadio. I originally thought that I would continue doing Theatre in college, as I loved performing the crazy comic relief characters, but saw how challenging it was for my peers who were not stick thin and decided to go into radio.

My Studio Equipment

Proficient on audio production software including Adobe Audition, Sony Soundforge, Audacity and ProTools. I currently have access to professional recording equipment at at least one radio station, but I'm unsure about my ability record on the mic I have at home.

Additional Skills

While interning I've had to create and put together sound effects for contest promotions and morning show bits. I've also had experience working on my own, telecommuting to WomensRadio. I produced programs for them using their preferred recording program, Audio Acrobat, doing phone interviews.
