My Voice Experience

I am in my late-twenties but am always mistaken for a child or teen. This is great when I recieve unwanted calls from telemarketers wanting to speak to my "mommy" or the "lady of the house". I can also sound more assertive and of my age. My husband always has me call contractors to get the job done whenever there is warranty work or other service work needed, my tone of voice takes on the characteristics of a no-nonsense kinda gal. I used to teach middle school science, so I have also mastered the disciplinarian, "attention students" and the motherly comforting tone of voice.

My Training

I do not have any formal voice over training. I am anxious to learn. My mother has always thought I would make a great cartoon character or youthful voice over talent!

I have a bachelor of science in Biomedical Science....this may be a plus for medical terminology.

Additional Skills

As mentioned earlier I am a former science teacher and this may be an advantage for medical terminology voice over work.

I am also a former cheerleader, so I have the "Go Team!" radio voice!

I am from Texas and can do the southern accent (hillbilly to southern belle).

I am able to read Russian and can speak with a good accent, but can not do an english-speaking Russian accent.
