VO experience? I’ve done a few IVR systems for a few local companies.
HOWEVER! Here is what brought me to VO work.
I have to repeat myself. I have to repeat myself often. When I call someone, mostly female, I don’t get an “I’m fine, how are you?” after my greeting. I get a long pause and have to repeat myself. Stunned… Shocked… Awed…. THAT is the reaction I get when I'm heard for the first time on the phone. There are many times that the phone has been passed around the room so I can speak to every woman in the office before I am done with my business.
Men admire my voice, and women adore it. I may not be the next Don LaFontaine, but I can come close.
I have a BFA in Theater from Tarleton State University, in Stephenville, Texas.
I was a student teacher for the Radio and TV class for my senior year, and I have taken a VO class at TCU with Sam Bogart.
I currently have a USB condenser mic and am using Audacity to produce my product. I can provide wav and mp3 files, either by email or FTP.
