My voice is in a tenor/baritone range and is clear and well modulated. It lends itself to many different kinds of voice- overs - advertising, direct response, documentary, informational and narrative presentations as well as characterizations and roles. My career started in BBC Radio in London where I was microphone trained for radio productions and radio character and presentation voices. I also did on-air announcing.

I speak in an authentic British accent and can do London/Cockney, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Australian, East Indian, German and Russian comedic characterizations. I can read in Spanish, Italian, French and Russian.

My Voice Experience

I recently completed a series of seven radio spots for Geico, playing Eamon Boyle, Nature Expert. I also made three comedic radio spots for a State of Colorado anti-smoking campaign where I played a sadistic British scientist. Subsequently, I made TV and radio spots for Jeep of Thousand Oaks.

Most recently I played Paddington Bear and the Cabbie in a 50th anniversary talking book edition for Leapfrog. I have worked for many different clients in direct response infomercials and commercials as well as for a children's DVD series where I played Sir Edmund Halley of comet fame (and sang in his voice), Dr. Watson of Sherlock Holmes fame, and a rather peppery story narrator. I also did all the instructional voice-overs for a 6.5 hour DVD series designed to eliminate fear of public speaking; for an educational series for classroom use that teaches children to produce their own animation PSA'S and for a new interactive television service for an exclusive cruise line.

Presently, I am the radio and video voice-over talent for the productions of a world traveling non-denominational spiritual leader who has followers across the globe and who preaches inner and outer peace.

My Training

I had professional training in microphone technique at BBC Radio in London. I also trained in voice-over technique and performance with Noel Johanssen and continue to train in acting and cold reading with Richard De Lancy, both in Los Angeles.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to several local professional sound studios and am able to produce fully finished and edited pieces.

Additional Skills

I have written and directed many shows, where I have also performed the voice-overs. In addition, I have played leading roles in plays and a lead and a supporting role in two low-budget feature films. I was featured as a "Nature Expert" in a Geico TV campaign, which ran throughout 2008 on national TV. I also just filmed a national spot for the Humane Society in which I play a Bernie Madoff type character.

I have also written a great deal of copy and directed many voice-over artists for other producers. As a writer, I have often written or rewritten copy on the spot for clients during voice-over sessions. I am very aware of their needs, since I work on both sides of the microphone and am often able, as a result, to make the voice-over experience a pleasant and un-pressured one.

I am also extremely flexible and responsive to a client's need to explore multiple creative options during the recording process. In addition, I have the ability to cold read efficiently and fluff-free, and to make sense of, and keep interesting, long passages of text...or short ones.
