My voice is described by others as "friendly, trustworthy and credible". I am pitched fairly low and have warm tones that lend my voice talents to everything from commercial work for financial institutions to public sevice campaigns, on hold messages and car dealership spots. My experience has given me a broad versatility in the range I can express vocally, as a voice actor. I am comfortable with documentary and professional narration projects. I have a "mid-western accent", that is: no real regional accent at all!

My Voice Experience

25 years in the radio and media business! I have done it all: on air personality on radio and tv, morning drive news anchor and commercial work. You name it, I've delivered it! I even narrated a short film for the Petersburg National Battlefield in Petersburg, VA.

My Training

My background is in journalism, but my real learning took place in the studio, over many years. I have taught radio news and editing at the college level. I use a Macbook with Sound Studio through an Alesis mixer. I use several professional microphones.

Additional Skills

I also volunteer as a reader for a closed circuit radio service for the blind and sight impaired in central Virgnia. A very rewarding use of my particular voice talents. I believe in giving back to the community that has been so good to my career.
