Voice Description

I have a deep rich tone to my voice that many often compare to James Earl Jones, or Barry White, or Keith David. It comes off often as authorial, yet caring,and informative.

I have done Ads for Television and Radio, a few feature films as well. That range from exciting to informative and non-emotional, journalism style. Often my voice is just very noticeable and distinguished. I have been told that all of my life.

If you need something narrative and monotone in character I can do that. Just straight informative no feelings about the information I am presenting one way or another. Yet, I can be very concerned and thoughtful, caring, charismatic, energetic. Professional or Street/Hood, mild mannered or a loose rebellious cannon, intelligent or "thug".

My Voice Experience

I have done documentaries, television ads, radio ads, promos from a few lines in a movie, to doing the entire narration for a complete film.

I was the voice for Red, Hot and Blue restaurants for a number of years, I even appeared in a television commercial of theirs. I recently just did the narration for The Tennis Channel's documentary entitled "Who's Next" and "A Shot At Greatness" both produced by Rex Miller, that was just aired the last quarter of 2010 and 2011 on the Tennis Channel.

I was the narrator for "February One: The Documentary", it has won awards. I have done music for and some voice over work for Madison Square Garden's "After The Garden" series that has won a few Emmy's. The shows I were a part of actually won. In the film "Unshackled" starring Stacy Keach, there is a scene where the main actor is just leaving prison and is being escorted down a corridor, I had to yell a threat at that character as he was leaving. My voice was added in post production and remained in the film.

I also was the narrator for "The Joy Of Erotic Massage, and for "The Joy Of Sex Toys." Excellent instructional videos produced by Mark Shoen for The Sinclair Intimacy Institute.

I have done answering machine and directory prompts for companies, one that comes to mind is a company called PMPN in Morrisville, NC. Often when clients called that company my voice was the one that they heard on the automated system.

I can record everything and edit everything myself here at my location. I am also a songwriter and music producer as well.

My Training

I am completely self taught at everything that I do relating to voice over, music production, digital audio editing, video editing, audio engineering, songwriting and producing.

I have been doing this since about 1994 just at the home project level, until a bigger job comes along and requires a situation that I cannot do myself at home. That happens very seldom, often I have been able to do everything that I need from home.

I have been a technical consultant for people in the music industry like legendary Hip Hop Producer Easy Mo Bee. I have done virtual assistance for him as well as his management company at the time (2003-2008) Moore Entertainment & Sports, LLC, who's CEO is Eric L. Moore. I have done some audio editing for artists like Big Daddy Kane, some technical consulting for hit producers like Mike City.

I also did the entire music score for "Transgender Teens" a documentary that appeared on the Discovery Health Channel. The editor for that project was Michael Davey.

I have also scored music for some adult films for DEF Entertainment, LLC for CEO/Owner John E. Depth.

I've done some voice over work for Horizon Video Productions in Morrisville, NC for almost 10 years freelance.

My Microphone is a Rode NT1-A, My Mic Preamp is an Audio Buddy by M-Audio, with a Professional Mesh Pop Filter,I have an Alesis 3630 Compressor, a PreSonus HP4 Headphone Distribution Amplifier, My headphones are Sennheiser HD 280 Pro and a few pairs of Audio-Technica's ATH-M40fs, Powered Studio Monitors are M-Audio's Studiophile BX5's, JVC Subwoofer,Custom built (AMD Quad-Core@ 3.2 Ghz, 5 GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 450 GTS Video Card)PC that I made myself running Cubase 5, Reason 5, PreSonus Studio One v2 and Vegas Video 11, Sound Forge 10, Waves plug-Ins. I have an Akai MPK49 Keyboard Controller. I have a Olevia 32 HDTV that I use for my computer monitor. A hi-Speed internet connection.

I used to have a bunch of outboard gear? I completely downsized, got rid of it and went virtual and I'm not sorry that I did. I have been able to do almost anything that I need with the gear listed above.
