My Voice Experience

As a child growing up, a favorite past time of my sisters and I was to mute the tv when it went to commercials and make up our own. I was only compensated with laughter at those time. So my first "real" voice-over experience was in my Senior year of High School where I was employed along with a few other students to do spoken word poems, introductions, and backround music for National Society of Black Engineers National Conference. At the time, my voice was just beginning to settle in and I was still self conscious of what i felt was a lack of presence. To my surprise, when the convention came everyone who heard my voice over the PA and Speakers said it came out great. So, me, my own worse critic had no choice but to be happy with my results. Overall, it was a fun experience, but since then, I have yet to have the opportunity try voice-over work again. That is why im so excited about coming across Voice123 so I can gain even more experience in this field that has always interested me.
