My Voice Experience

I performed voice-over work for many class projects. The main focus of my college broadcasting career was in Radio Broadcasting. I worked as a DJ at our campus radio station, and two local stations (Country and Top 40)...these duties not only included being an on-air personality but also many PSA and commercial recordings. During that time I was especially interested in a future as a Voice Actor (particularly children's programming. However, somewhere along the way, I became more interested in Television Broadcasting and all radio work was put on hold. In my Junior Year (2000), I decided to "double-major" in Theatre with an emphasis in Performance. I worked as in intern for Bunim-Murray Productions in L.A. (Producers of "The Real World", "Road Rules", "Making the Band", etc.). I also interned at HuskerVision, our athletic department's Production Company, and for ABC Sports and Fox Sports Broadcasts of UN Football, basketball, baseball, softball, and gymnastics events. I was attending my University on a full-athletic scholarship to play for the Women's Softball team. I graduated in May of 2003, and had many opportunites in the field of Broadcasting, but my softball career was still going strong so I decided that Broadcasting would have to be held for the future. I played Professional Softball in Spain, Italy, then moved back to my hometown of Tucson, AZ, to play for the Arizona Heat (National Pro Fastpitch). I retired from Pro Sports in 2004. I met my husband after moving back to Tucson and we have both worked for my Father's company ever since. We were married in 2006, we had our first child on July 5, 2009, and now I've come full-circle to venture back into a hopeful career as a Professional Voice Actor. I had to explain my background in order to explain my voice experience, or lack there of. I am positive I am VERY capable of meeting many needs. I hope you give me a try!

My Training

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast-Journalism from the University of Nebraska College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Double majored in Broadcast-Journalism and Theatre (Performance). Worked as a DJ at three Lincoln, NE radio stations. Interned at Bunim-Murray Productions. Interned at HuskerVision (University of Nebraska Athletic Department). I was a Production Assistant for ABC Sports and Fox Sports. I was a radio color commentator for many University of Nebraska Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Gymnastics events. I'm a singer and songwriter and play the guitar. I have a great talent for imitating voices and sounds. I'm also capable of reading very clearly and concise.

My Studio Equipment

I have Pro Tools M-Box recording software and equipment in my home, that I use to record my music and will now be using it for my Voice Work.

Additional Skills

I was a professional athlete. I'm a musician. I'm also a certified Yoga Instructor and spiritual teacher. I've also worked as a Motivational Speaker.
