Voice Description
My vocal style combines a standard American commercial sound with a classically trained dramatic capability. Broadcast experience includes on-air news delivery and advertising copy interpretation. Also, with extensive stage experience, including Shakespeare, I can apply a significant dramatic edge - a character portrait - in situations where that may be called for. Also, I have done documentary and industrial narrations. I can be up and funny for commercials; warm and sexy also, or even and smooth-sounding for industrial or corporate tracks, or quite dramatic and character-driven if that is called for.

My Voice Experience
My broadcast work included a fair amount of time writing, producing and voicing radio commercials, in Texas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. As a radio staff person, I was both a newscaster and a a creative director. In news, I reported on original stories, covered local boards, developed in-depth series, while writing and delivering hourly newscasts on a daily basis.
Also, while working in radio, I had several opportunities to create radio ads, from conception to writing to producing to voicing. Sometimes, in producing commercials, I recruited local talent, directing that talent and delivering my voice to tracks as well.
Over the course of some years in radio, I delivered hundreds of hourly newscasts and produced numerous radio commercials in all styles: hard sell and soft sell; for retailers, car dealers. mom & pop stores, banks, department stores, and many others.
