Voice Description

My voice is medium deep for a female, which enables me to sound more professional than most. I live in the southern United States, however, I am able to speak clearly with little or no affectation if required. I am also able to add a slight Midwestern US, Northern US, or Southern US accent if required. I have the ability to speak clearly, either with or without emotional range. I can slightly deepen my voice for a 'sexy' take for an advertisement or I can use a slightly higher pitch for something more fun.

My Voice Experience

I have worked in the technology industry for the last 10 years and am always being called upon to provide the voice over for telephone implementations. I have provided the voice recordings for dozens of scripts for call attendants, voice mail systems, and call queues.

My Training

My training has been mostly on-the-job. Initially, I was intimidated by the thought that hundreds of people would be hearing my voice on a daily basis, but as I gained more experience, I found that it was much like acting. I was able to assume a character, whether it be a professional operator or a warm greeter, and was able to enjoy the task, leading me to do a better job.

Additional Skills

I have been in the technology field for 10 years, but also worked in the restaurant business through high school and college. Restaurants are highly customer-facing and no matter what your current mood or emotion, you are required to respond in an appropriate manner. This experience has allowed me to perfect the ability to adjust my voice to match the situation appropriately. Whether it be a customer complaint, which requires a sincere and concerned tone, or simply a welcome to a patron, which requires a light and warm tone, I have been able to project the best attitude through my voice in order to enhance the customer experience.
