Voice Description

My voice is versatile in nature. I am capable of creating character voices, impersonating others, projecting in a professional manner, and also injecting fun where necessary. I can speak with various accents as well.

I grew up in a time where the rave in televised media was the comedy sketch. I watched shows like Saturday Night Live and In Living Color. Though these were "comedies", I learned versatility and gained the ability to adapt to any situation. I think having exposure to shows like these and growing up in a more internationally infused neighborhood lends to who I am as a person and my voice overall.

I always receive compliments on my voice from different perspectives. These are some examples:

-You have an extremely professional voice.
-You sound sexy over the phone.
-Your voice is very soothing and calming.
-You speak well, you should be an attorney.
-Your approach is ver diplomatic when presenting your premise.
-You should do voiceovers or be an actress.

If you asked me, I would have in the past told you that none of those comments go together. What I am rapidly realizing is the fact that they do correspond. They are all characteristics that my voice can portray at any given time. I stumbled onto an add on Craigslist and found Voice 123. I have made a conscious decision to place my voice for hire and discover where it will lead me next.

My Voice Experience

I have no professional voiceover experience except for lending my voice for an office voicemeil recording periodically after being nominated by my peers. As a child, I always raised my hand first to be the narrator when there were scripted stories in our texts to be read. I placed in one oratorical contest where the task was presenting Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr.'s
"Letter from the Birmingham Jail" at a local church. I was also a speaker representing said church as a youth delegate who present the reports at the district conference.
