My Voice Experience
I haven't met a job I didn't love. I began working in college in both television and radio. I still work part time for a local television station. Between talent work at the station and recording voice overs from home, I have been able to record commercials, phone messages, power point presentations and various television shows. I love a challenge and I love having the opportunity to always do something new & exciting.
My Training
I have a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. In addition to my classes, I gained an immense amount of knowledge by hosting the student produced "SIUE's Global Village" and working as an on-air news reporter for WSIE 88.7FM. I was also able to record & produce light-hearted pieces that were inserted into the programming.
My Studio Equipment
Sound booth
Pro Tools LE
Additional Skills
I love what I do! My first taste of "being on-air" came in my teens while working at a roller rink. I was a bit apprehensive when I first learned that I was going to be promoted to disc jockey. I didn't mind playing the music, but speaking on the microphone terrified me! Less than a week later I couldn't wait to get to the rink and get on that microphone... I guess there was just something about hearing my voice boom back at me through the speakers... it was really quite a rush!
