Voice Description
I have a clear baritone voice suitable for sexy and fun, decidedly deep and thought-provoking or commanding confidence and professionalism. People have told me they find my versatile voice tone is perfect to do narrations, commercials and much more. Being born and raised in the Midwest has given me a neutral dialect but living in the South has offered me some regional inflections. I can sound like James Earl Jones, that one guy from the Statler Brothers, that one guy from the Oakridge Boys or Darth Vader (wait that was James Earl Jones).
My voice has been described as gentle, deep, sexy, thoughtful, scary, mesmerizing, refreshing, authoritative, cool, sharp, pleasant, educational and DAMN!

My Voice Experience
Interested in music but lacking any musical ability I found my way into radio. I hosted an eclectic jazz program on the Samford University radio station in the early 90's. Then was hired in the mid-90's by Dick Broadcasting as late-night/weekend on-air personality. After gaining two years of hands-on experience and $5.25 an hour, I decided to start a production company and open a night club. I wrote, produced, directed and starred in a 75 minute instructional video on how to bartend. Meanwhile, I opened a nightclub and sold the video through the internet, my club and the Nightclub and Bar convention. As a club owner and trade show booth participant I was asked to be a speaker for a seminar on advertising and marketing at the next NC & B convention. In early 2000 I sold my interest in the club and lost my ass on the production company so I found myself consulting bars and restuarants that were having tough times. I continue to stay active in radio and cable tv commericial voice over jobs. Now I am general manager of a popular martini bar and looking for some sidework in the profession I was born to pursue.
My Training
I have attended voice over classes outside of university credit courses. I have had real experience in relating with the public either improptu or scripted. I have worked on a few independent movies as an actor, an extra and behind the scenes. I was in a couple of regional tv commercials (Bud Light and Thom McAnn shoes).
