Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I have a DJ-esque vocal quality with a decidely hip and ebonical verbal edge (think: Stuart Scott of ESPN's SportsCenter).
My accent/dialect carries an African-American complicity with varying range. I can convey: Southern-speak (think: "Dallas businessperson mixed with suburbanite bread-winner", or, urbanite conversational), West Coast urban (think: LA inner-city urban dweller with diction, yet, ethnic, and/or blue collar urban), New York urban (think: "hip", "speedy", "sensationalist", "persuasive" etc.), Midwestern(think: "traditional", "folksy", "rural", etc.)

12/08 - present
I'm actually seeking to build my experience in this field.
My Training
I have been writing and performing hip-hop-related music material since 2000. I am, by and large, self-taught and have mostly been assisted and instructed by 24-track studio producers and engineers.
The confidence that I have in my experience is due to 8 years of vocal recording in a 24 - 48 track production environment. I've had a recording studio in my home for the last 7 years. I am quite proficient with the basic and post-mix elements of rap-music recording such as, but, not necessarily limited to: Analog-to-Digital interfacing and modulation, 16 bit to 24 bit conversion and mixing, 2-track mix-downs, wave and MP3 formatting and conversion processess.
My Studio Equipment
Production Software:
Sonar Producer Edition(s) 2, 2.2, 3, 5, and 7. MAGIX Music Maker Deluxe. Steinberg's Wavelab version(s) 3, 4, and 5. WAVES Vst/RTAS plug-in suite(s): Renasiance bundle, Gold bundle, SSL bundle, Platinum bundle, and Mercury bundle. Twelve-Tone's Pyro (for wave files and mp3s).
Hardware:
PC: 32/64 bit Windows Vista Ultimate (64bit 3ghz dual-core cpu, 5 gbs ram 667 mhz).
Mixing console(s): Yamaha 01v 24 track digital, Behringer 16 track analog (combined 32 tracks).
Dynamics Processors: Compressor-Limiter Gate, Behringer Virtualizer Pro, and an 8024 DSP analog/digital equalizer-converter-limiter.
Soundcards: EMU 0404, M-Audio Delta 44.
MICs: Rhodes NT1 Compressor, Shure SM48.
Headphones: Sony MDR-V900, Sony MDR-V600.
Monitor/Speakers: Event 20/20 bi-amped.
