My Voice Experience
I started playing the disc jockey around age ten with two turntables and a tape recorder. I would spin 45's, give weather forcasts, read news, create promos and commercials---whatever it took to sound like a real radio station. I've spent the past 15 years or so immersed in the professional world of broadcasting. I have been on-air for three commercial radio stations. At WEOL-AM, I was an announcer for an Adult Contemporary/Local Interest format. WNWV-FM is a Smooth Jazz station that required a laid-back approach to announcing. AT WXMG-FM, I used the more up-beat and excited announcing style to match the R&B/Disco playlist. During my time at two of them, I was also responsible for producing and voicing commercials for local clients. Currently, I perform voiceover work for a Columbus, Ohio television station (WWHO)but the commercials they produce get airplay on other stations in the market.
My Training
My formal voiceover training started at Lorain County Community College in 1987 with extensive communications courses including Broadcast Speaking, Performing Arts, Interpersonal Communications, and student-run television news programs where I worked in front of and behind the camera. I went on to finish up my Bachelors Degree at Ohio University where I studied more of the same courses and worked at the campus radio station and behind the scenes in the film school.

Additional Skills
I am also a multi-talented musician with the abilty to play guitar, bass, drums, and a little bit of keyboard. I also write and sing my own songs. I record and produce as well. For a short time I was the drummer in a band called Floorian that received recognition from one of the most respected independent record labels around: Bomp records. I would love the opportunity to create jingles for clients as well as voice their commercials.
