Voice Description

The timbre of my voice is warm, rich and textured. It can also be presented in a higher register, including a nasally and "clamped" sound. My diction is excellent and my words are easily understood. I am often told that I only need to say a couple of words on the telephone and I am instantly recognized.

My Voice Experience

I am just beginning my voice over career, in addition to my existing career of a voice instructor and vocal coach. I also teach intermediate to advanced piano. I am beginning a voice over career because a voice over professional, as well as film and stage actor, is encouraging me to do so -- because of the texture to my voice. I hope she's right!

My Training

My teaching career spans twenty years and I often present seminars to educate students and adults about the performing arts career. I am also a business writer for individuals who need to present their business, business ideas and marketing pieces in a cohesive and targeted manner.

My degree is in Psychology with a minor in Physiology. I have studied voice and piano for over twenty (20)years with various professors across the country, before landing in Evergreen, Colorado.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to a local, professional recording studio, as well as professional recording studios in the Denver Metro are. I also have in-house recording capabilities which include Fostex digital multi-track recording equipment and a Roland digital piano which is capable of myriad sound effects.

My computer recording equipment includes an iMac computer and Logic Pro 8 sound recording software. I am adept at mixing, remixing, master and multitract recording.

Additional Skills

My voice lends itself not only to character protrayal, but to professional, business character portrayal, as well. It is pleasing to listen to and I am often told that I only need to say a couple of words on the telephone and I am instantly recognized.
