I'm an award-winning, blues-influenced jazz vocalist with powerful emotional range. I have performed with many jazz luminaries including George Coleman, Harold Mabern, Cameron Brown and Warren Vaché, and has appeared at such legendary New York venues and events as JVC Jazz Festival, Blue Note, Iridium and Birdland. My debut CD, Catch Me If You Can (LML Music), has received accolades throughout the jazz world and, recently, I was named one of the top 500 jazz vocalists of all time in a book by noted jazz critic, Scott Yanow (tentatively entitled The Jazz Singers/Backbeat Books, 2006).
Jingles projects have included a significant amount of commercial studio work (including national commercial work and work for Blues Clues (MTV)). Hi-lites include: Anderson Windows; Blue's Clues (Nickelodeon); Various music for "Awesone America" (TV Pilot); The Cosby Show; a commercial advertising the Travel Channel; bunches of live appearances on radio; recordings for video projects. I’ve worked for MTV (Nickelodeon), Carsey Warner, NY JAM Music, Jeff Layton Music, Murmur Music Inc., The ThinkBank.
I have studied privately for over 25 years with some of New York's most respected teachers including: Marianne Challis; Mark Murphy; Carla White; Daryl Kojak.
I've also taken additional music courses to further my jingles and voice over skills at New School University and sight singing with Liz Fleischer.
I'm extraordinarily reliable and a quick study. You'll get your money's worth!
