Voice Description
I have a young sounding voice which can be varied in delivery and speed to sound like a young adult, middle aged woman or verging on a senior citizen. The cute and cuddly can change to kindly and comforting with ironic and wry twists when needed.
The accent is North American and a New York edge can be found just around the corner when pushed. Family influences of New England and Eastern European can be called upon. British and Southern voices are welcoming in their own way.
Many years of French classes enable me to read a script in French with good understanding of content and intent.

My Voice Experience
Both parents are natural performers; Dad has been a singer and teacher, Mom a singer and actress. This caused our family to be using various voices and characters on a regular basis. It was a natural way to communicate and make a point.
My years of acting in school and local productions as well as singing have caused an awareness of voice ability. I worked at Merrill Lynch customer service for many years and did on hold messages for their automated system
in Somerset, NJ in the late '80s.
My Training
I have a BA degree in Speech and Theatre. This provided experience being myself, varied characters and oral interpretation of written pieces.

Additional Skills
I have been in singing and acting through my school years. The customer service work I've done enabled me to use my voice to aid and influence people. I have more recently been a camp counselor and substitute teacher which has lent a more warm and explanatory tone to my voice.
