My Voice Experience

I've voiced countless radio commercials in character or as narrator during the course of a 22 year radio career. I have experience as a spokesperson and endorser as well.

The majority of my on air experience is as a radio personality. I've been a host and cohost on music and talk radio. I've also voice tracked a midday show in Dallas/Fort Worth for 12 years.

I was the voice of Toyota of Dallas in the late 80's.

My Training

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English. I've read extensively and have learned a great deal about character analysis.

I've taken workshops with Bob Magruder, Joanie Gerber and Marice Tobias.

During the course of my radio career, I've also worked as a copywriter and editor. I've found copywriting to be great experience for voiceover work as it gives you great insight into the depth of character that can be achieved in the briefest of radio spots.

I love voicework. I love telling a story, communicating an idea, finding a common ground with people and relating to them on that level.

Radio has taught me how to use my voice well. I know what works and what doesn't, what is pleasing to the ear and, conversely, what isn't.
