My Voice Experience

I first heard my recorded voice over 20 years ago and unlike most prople I liked what I heard and have had many opportunities to enrich my natural ability. I have been "the girl on the voicemail" for several companies during my employment. I learned a great deal about voice inflection as a sales tool through the amazing training regime at Time Life Libraires who perfected a style that earned them billions of dollars during the telemarketing heyday. I am currently continuing to be the voicemail receptionist for Palomino in Denver Colorado and for Market Central the hippist, healthiest grocery store in the Ball Park District of Downtown, Denver.

My Training

I have a natural talent that I am just starting to really hone. Aside from successfully adapting to a selling voice as a telephone sales rep for Time Life Librairies and becoming a trainer there I also have listened to thousands of voice over demo's that are available on the internet. I am quickly adapting the styles and inflections that seem trendy into the demo's I am practicing with. I am a had worker and very coachable, so by recording all of my work with a trusted musician friend who has also been told of his natural telent for voice over, I feel that the colloboration is bringing my abilites to new levels.

Voiceover work is really sales. Knowing and understanding your audience, your 'market', and finding the right angle to get thier attention from. I feel that my interpretations of my demo samples are a great representation of my ability to convey feeling with a winning sales tone. I am drawn to this field not just because my voice is of a quality people seem to like right now but because of my commitment to the Sales end of Marketing diciplines and I know that my voice is only as good as I make it.
