My Training

17 years radio broadcasting experience, 10 as a middle manager. Skilled in automation and control systems, digital and analogue editing, all phases of audio production. Worked dozens of different systems, including Prophet, Scott, Adobe, a multitude of windows based audio and video production programs. You name it, I've probably rebooted it the requisite three times before the call to the engineer!

I have extensive, hands on experience with all aspects of live and studio performance...including making that screetching wanna-be 90 pound weekend warrior doing the gig at the local outdoor fest sound like David Coverdale on steriods.

I write for Review Magazine in Saginaw Michigan and I am at work on several major creative writing endeavors.

I am the American voice for US Projects in Hamburg, Germany, a translating firm specializing in German to English print and alternative media presentations.

I am the Studio Technical Director in Chief for StreamSmith Media Solutions, an upstart(My BABY!)which is currently working in cooperation with a local university featuring multimedia protocol on a user friendly interface.

20 years personal, professional vocal training with Friedrich Wulf, a master violinist and classical vocal trainer who was once with the Berlin Philharmonic. I originally trained in classical vocals from the age of five, transferred to rock when I discovered a market for it. A former vocal teacher myself, I now take students on a limited basis.

My Studio Equipment

Own and maintain musical equipment for area bands to use inlive performance, including Mackie, Yamaha, and Sony boards...with a multitude of ancillary equipment from Peavy to Eavy and everything in between.

I refuse to use "Radio Shack" brand ANYTHING>!

I have never, nor will I ever, use(d) my gear for Karaoke.

I record on Adobe Audition 2.0 using a sony mixer with multiple band EQ's. I am a big fan of Boss products for live performance and some studio applications. I use a variety of mics for various applications. I still believe that if a guitarist actually knows how to play, a cranked up Marshall with hot tubes is seriously the ultimate sound in Rock and Roll. Fender still rules the clean channel.

I have full access to all my former radio stations with access to ISDN lines and frequently record with them and for them.

I have done skads of station imagery, bits and parodies, general voicing, and documentaries.

Additional Skills

Although I sound like I'm all rock and roll, the majority of my work is corporate and more staid. For example, doing the voice over for a video for Dow Chemical's Six Sigma project, or voicing a powerpoint presentation for businesses through US Projects. I am currently involved with a Detroit based company doing talking books, which is just plain fun.

I am an entrepreur with several businesses and, as such, I understand the value of inter-corporate communications, when effectively presented. I also know the negative effect of pairing the wrong voice with an important project.

My extensive writing and stage experience gives me a keen insight into how to play each audience. I take direction easily and always strive to ensure that every project gets the time and attention the client deserves.

I am always interested in pushing my personal limits..so no project is too off the wall or outrageous; and almost nothing bores me...there's too much fun to be had in this business!
