My Voice Experience

I started doing voice-overs in college as part of my Radio/TV degree curriculum. I immediately fell in love with voice-overs as I have been an actress since the age of 5. My first job out of college was the midday girl and the production director of a small East Texas station. I wrote and produced almost all of the copy for the station and ended up scoring accounts where I voiced the spots for all of their advertising. The Puddin Hill Store was my big client after I created the character Miss Kitty Katnip for their spots. The next station I went to, I was the only female so I wrote and voiced at least half of all our commercials. My next station gave me some commercial production opportunities and I had a few live ad clients and clients who booked me outside the station. When I moved to Cincinnati in 1994, I began doing a lot of voiceovers for the production department at WUBE and joined AFTRA and started doing all kinds of voiceovers for many clients. Then, in San Antonio, Texas for 2 years, I was the voice of the SA Express News as well as many other clients, including narration, phone message centers and interactive games for children. In New York, I was the voice of Victoria on the internet animated series "Whirlgirl" and I did a lot of auditioning for about a year, then stopped for a while due to my busy schedule with WPLJ, my rock band STARK and bartending to make a living. I am so ready to be back in the game as a contender.

My Training

I started taking acting classes at Casa Manana in Ft. Worth, Texas at the age of 7, doing voice and drama in school as well. I received a BA in Radio/Television from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1991 with an internship at KZPS in Dallas. I started working in radio immediately after college taking many voiceover classes and courses in Texas, Cincinnati and New York. I have done over 200 voiceovers, jingles or songs for various radio, TV and film clients.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to the studio at the radio station where I work in New York City. I am familiar with Audacity, Garageband and ProTools. I am still setting up my studio at home but do have mics and a mac with all 3 of the formerly mentioned programs.

Additional Skills

I'm an actress, singer, writer and I make a mean margarita.
