My Voice Experience
Most of my experience comes from doing presentations when I was in school. I was frustrated at how my peers could not match the quality of their delivery with that of the content of their presentation. I held a job once that allowed me to make evening announcements. Every night I would become a different character
My Training
Several years ago, I began imitating different commercials I saw. My friends started suggesting that I write my own commercials in the same character, but a different product. Being ironic, funny, and shocking was the point. For example. I imitated a pharmaceutical commercial, but instead of drugs, I advertised candy. This is certainly a field where practice makes perfect. Occasionally, I will assume a particular character or accent when ordering at a restaraunt or visiting a store. Watching another person's reaction to my voice is an excellent way to test how credible I am.
