Voice Description

I have been told that I have a very young-sounding, "Disney princess-like" voice. However, I'm also able to imitate many different styles! I can infuse lots of personality and good acting skills into my projects. I can provide voices from the Girl Next Door to the teenage drama queen to the serious businesswoman or professional spokesperson or warm motherly type. I have been told that I have a very clear sound of the "Disney princess" variety! :)

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Generally I do my voiceovers in standard American English. However, I am open to trying accents such as Southern American, British Cockney, British Standard, etc.

My Voice Experience

--Employed to perform at Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. I spent 2 years as a Studio Tour Guide at Universal Studios Hollywood, which required a steady, professional recitation of the studio's history before large public crowds. I also have worked as a performer at the Disneyland Resort, where I played the character of "Mom Elias" in the Innoventions Dream Home, gave technology demonstrations, and spoke about the process of animation in the Animation Academy, leading a half hour show.

--Years of performing onstage. I am very active in musical theater, having played roles like Sandy in Grease, Mayzie in Seussical, and a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast. I have a strong singing voice that has been compared to Kerri Butler or Jodi Benson.

--Special training in Animation. As I study Animation at the Art Institute, I have a great background in the field of animation, and often provide voiceovers for clients that I animate for as well as my own projects.

My Training

8+ years of performing arts experience, including theater and vocal classes at various schools and universities, including CSU Northridge and CSU Fresno. Additional performing experience in local theater productions and training through the Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

4+ years of art/animation/film courses at CSU Northridge, Fresno, and the Art Institute. This gives me a unique understanding of the requirements of animation voiceovers.

My Studio Equipment

I have a Macbook Pro with basic recording and editing capabilities through Audacity as well as a MXL USB condenser microphone and portable soundbooth for computer input. I am able to remove background noise and clean up the voice files with my own editing software, as well as adding music and sound effects if requested.

However, I am willing to travel to a nearby recording studio if requested, and if this is figured into the project cost.

Additional Skills

I am a student currently finishing a degree in Media Arts and Animation, so I'm very familiar with acting for animation, as I often do voiceover work for animation clients.

I also have a strong singing voice, and have been a finalist in musical competitions including Universal's "Wannabe Wicked" broadway contest and "CMT's Taylor Swift Karaoke Contest." I have knowledge of music theory, vocal techniques, and can mimic many different types of styles.
