My Training

Kyrsten graduate from Whitworth University with a BA in Theater and English (see course work below). Following that, she toured with a St. Paul, MN-based theater company. Half way through tour, she came down with mononucleosis. So she returned home to recuperate and launched UpStart Productions. That was over 15 years and many voices ago.

The point is that experience counts for something in this business. It cultivates versatility. Hones creativity. And refines efficiency. All of which Kyrsten will gladly put to work for you.

Additional Skills

"I began life as a storyteller. By Kindergarten I went on the road (to the older grades) with my own version of Noah’s Ark. Many, many stories later I spent three wonderful years in Tellers Two, a storytelling duo that toured the Inland Northwest. To this day, writing original material for live performance stokes my creative fires.

"One of my greatest strengths is writing for the spoken word. And since I am happiest with multiple irons in the fire, I write everything from commercials to radio features, promotional DVDs to documentaries. Makes me a better Voice Talent too."
