Voice Description

My voice is very adaptable to any situation. I can be fast, slow, loud, soft, any age and almost any race. I can speak with consistency and for long periods without losing quality. I can speak smoothly and with confidence for business-style presentations and commercials. I am very good at fun voices for children's themed videos and other light-hearted narrations. I can suit any need that a company may require.
I have practiced with groups of friends to get feedback on impersonations of many celebrities. Some of my best are: Jesse Ventura, Shaquille O'Neal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Pullman, Yoda, Grover, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and several characters from South Park, Family Guy, and other television shows.

My Voice Experience

While I have no professional experience at this time in voice-overs, I do have plenty of time behind the mic from college projects and television school. I recorded all the narration for each project that I worked on at Brown College in Minnesota, and was often asked by other students to record narration for them. During this time, I used several different voices, dialects and inflections.
I also briefly acted and performed in these video projects and had to play multiple roles in a short time, each with it's own audio style and delivery.

Also, while in high school, I worked a few soccer games as the public address announcer for Hillsborough High School. This was a fun opportunity to add a little personality to my job and still maintain a high level of professionalism. I was complimented by many fans after leaving each game for my style and energy.

My Training

In addition to serious packages and projects while at Brown, I also contributed and co-wrote several humor pieces for our class. These required different funny voices and even characters to be created. Each one was unique, and all were received with great praise from the professor and my classmates. I have also practiced while in the audio booth at my current occupation, TV Editor at WFTS-TV in Tampa, FL.

I have worked at WFTS-TV in Tampa, FL for nearly three years at this time, and I am always paying special attention to the sound of the Reporters and Anchors, and trying to not only take mental notes on their delivery, but also mimicking certain behaviors. I can quickly pick up on anyone's unique voice and inflections, and often they are amused and embarassed to hear what they really sound like.
I also am good at several stereotypical voices, including Bubbly Teenage Girl, Football Coach, Auctioneer, Courtroom Attorney, and many more.
