I have what has been described as a "pan-European" accent, or non-accented English. I love words and language, I've spoken German, Japanese, and French; but I'm a country girl at heart, and can relax my voice and attitude when appropriate.

Wrote and delivered news for local public radio station. Am open to a variety of voice projects.

My Training

A former English, History, Physical Education teacher and coach, I am accustomed to public speaking. I have a B.S. from the University of Oregon, and have studied graduate level education and linguistics. I studied drama with a Shakespearean director from London at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and more recently took a course in "Acting for the Camera". While teaching English in Japan, I was involved in transcribing radio news for classroom use.

Additional Skills

I've been getting compliments on my voice since high school. "Your voice is sexy"(at 17) to "You have such a beautiful speaking voice" when I read prayers and bible quotations at my local church. I love reading and language, and in addition to fluent German, moderate French and Japanese, I have also studied Portuguese, Slovenian, Russian and Polish. I sing (tenor) in the church choir, which aids in my breath and voice production.
