Voice Description

I've just started to venture into the voice over world, and it's really rather thrilling! I've had over 3 years of post-secondary acting training, though, and am having an incredible amount of fun playing with voices now.

I speak English with no accent. I can also speak English with a Standard British accent, Cockney, Standard New York, and Southern.

I can sound warm, sexy, unsure, confident - always honest.

I've taken clowning courses, and have found some amazing and interesting voices out of that - I'm also not afraid of sounding silly - I embrace it!

My Voice Experience

This is a bit of a carry over from my Expanded Voice Description.

I have a lot of voice experience from being on stage and in front of a camera. I have used all of the accents mentioned above, as well as my own voice. British scene studies? Thank you, Harold Pinter! Southern bartender? Check. Taxi Dancer from New York? You bet!

Some of my favourite voices have come prom clowning and improvisation, including the Gremlin (complete with Gremlin-like posture!) and who I like to call the Sandwich Lady.

Additional Skills

I take notes and direction extremely well, and am able to adjust on the spot. I think quickly and am not afraid of sounding silly. I love to improvise, and when something works wonderfully, I can bring it back and keep it consistent.
