My Voice Experience

Hi, my name is Akhil Mehrotra and I am a Managing Director of this company.
In this chapter we will tell you about submission tenders. In order to get a contract from any company, submission of tenders is the first step. Once the tenders are sumitted by all the contractors, then they are checked by the company authorities. At the end of this procedure they invite all the contractors and open their tenders there and than. The company gives contract to who has minimum quotation of amount to be charged by the contractor from the company.

My Training

I did my graduation (B.A) in India (Delhi). I started doing voice-over when I came in this country in 1994. I joined BBC Hindi Service as a broadcaster/journalist in 1995 and worked till 2004.
In India I was an announcer in All India Radio, and at the same time I would work for theatre as an actor, I would do TV programmes (Live & Recorded) as compere, anchor and News Reader.
Here I have worked as a model, actor and translator for BUPA, British Heart Foundation, Learn Direct and many more.
I am an Equity member and work as a freelance for companies like, VSI, Foreign Voices, Foreign Versions and The Big World etc. I can do English to Hindi translation and can read and write Hindi (type also). I do undertake recordings in Punjabi language also.

Additional Skills

I have my own cultural organisation called Sakshi Arts. I have produced a short film called 'Aakhir Kab Tak' (for how long).
I have produced and directed 7 stage dramas and toured all over UK.
I have performed in Edinburgh festival also.
Recently I finished my last drama which was in English and written by me. I did ten shows of that.
