My Voice Experience

I have worked as a Legal & Medical Receptionist in the corporate world for years, where I have been told by total Strangers to get into Voice - Overs. When I was in Undergrad at a major University in the South, gents would ask me out and tell me that they just wanted to listen to me talk. I knew that I was on to something then. LOL! I write, sing and play 22 instruments. I have Spoken Word pieces on my Independent CD's as a Jazz - Neo Soul Recording Artist. I majored in History & Sociology during my Undergraduate years. I work as a (PT) Contract Historic Walking Tour Guide on the weekends in Atlanta, GA., where I conduct History Tours I have written a movie script which I have found some Investors to back. I am the Narrator for the film. My Voice has been my "Bread Winner" for years!

My Training

Although I majored in History & Sociology in Undergrad, many people have tried to persuade me to go into Journalism because of my voice. I have two CD's out as an Independent Artist and a Double CD in need of recording. n my spare time, I have sung on other Recording Artist CD's. All of the them have Spoken Word Pieces on them as well as three & four part harmonies, instrumentals and acappella. I have worked as a Career Receptionist in the corporate world and attended Day Seminars for such. I have also attended Seminars and workshops thru the National Academy of the Arts, who put on the Grammys, for music. I wrote a movie script that Investors want to put in 80 to 150 million into my Comedy, in which I am a Narrator, Extra and Executive Producer. I have been a Paid Extra for Tyler Perry's, Why did I get married, too," "The Preacher's Kid" by Warner Brothers as well as an Extra for BET's - "A time to laugh" & the Black Family Channel's TV Show - "Spoken" for Spoken Word Artist.

Additional Skills

Feel free to check out one of my Music CD's on CDBaby, entitled: "Music to my Ears," by Koni & a Work of Art. There are several spoken word pieces on the CD. I wrote and performed on, "Lanta Jam" - a spoken word piece about Atlanta's traffic, "Mouse - Potato, Couch - Potato" - a Spoken Word piece about men and their sports addictions. I also wrote, "Societal Perceptions of the Male Psyche and hired an Actor who was in the movie, "Sweet Home Alabama" to perform on it. It is a piece about a foreign gent moving to the inner city in the U. S., who thinks that Corporate America and others are looking down on him as well as a Black Man living in surburbia, who tells the foreign gent, that his life is no picnic either....due to his Boss telling him what to do at work and his Wife at home, with a "Honey - Do" List.
