Kim has a warm, beautifully modulated voice and is used widely in South Africa for the English / South African eclectic accent mix that gives her voice a unique feel. With her performing arts background Kim is able to rise to the challenge of voice animation and thrives on being in the recording studio. My Voice Experience

I had studied performing arts and was working part time as a booker for my Professional Agent just after I had graduated. A client rang one day and told me he was looking for a female voice over artist, he was in a rush and could I ask a few artists I deemed suitable to ring him directly and he would do telephonic auditions. He gave me the script and to make sure I understood I demo'ed it for him and he said " That is exactly what I am looking for...can I book you"....and that was it! I was hooked the moment I entered the studio. I am an outdoors person, I don't like being cooped up in an office or at home, but put me in a recording studio, I belong there.

I am proud of my voice, of the way I speak, I love teaching people how to communicate and how to use their voice and how to make it more interesting to listen to so I LOVE getting a script, going into studio and nailing it in one or two takes. Making it come to life for the scriptwriter, the creator, reading that person's mind and just knowing what they want. My dream is to be an animation character one day but until then I will, can and do do anything and everything.

I also volunteer my voice for the student projects at one of the Film and Media schools here in Cape Town.

My Training

I studied performing arts, speech and drama in Cape Town, South Africa. I obtained my L.T.C.L through the Trinity College of London and thoroughly enjoyed teaching speech and drama to children aged 6 upto young adults. I have taught effective communication to young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to business men and woman and am always coaching my business employees in better communication skills for telephonic and face to face business skills.

My Studio Equipment

I have to be honest and say I have always been booked into voice recording studios for all the work I have done. I don't have much audio engineering experience but have access to a full recording studio. I will come back shortly to list all the equipment in this studio because I let the pro's do their thing in that department.....

Additional Skills

I am also the director of a leading baby and children's company in South Africa. A business that I started 6 years ago. My voice is my tool in business, first impressions last and when I speak I need people to notice. My voice and how I use it got me to where I am today, it got me in doors that you don't get into over the phone!!!

It doesn't matter where I am, who I am working with, who I meet, my voice and the way I speak is complimented every single day without fail by someone.

Yesterday I was on the phone to a friend while in the supermarket and even the cashier commented on how she just loved my voice and how clearly I spoke.
