Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I can sound a little like some of the Nigerian tongues. I can also do the southern United States, British (London and Liverpool), A so to speak mob boss. Although I am African American most of the time I don't have the regionalism. I can, however, sound more ethnic and younger.
My Voice Experience
The most important thing I find in any voice work is to sell the product. Of course the product can be anything from Coke to cell phones to...you. That's right if I do some work for you and you are the product than you are worth millions in my eyes. I have learned how to be what I was trained to do...be an actor with my voice. Politicians used to be known for saying they would put a chicken in every pot. Well I would like to help you keep your chicken in the pot...you know...keep you family fed. If you end up with a couple extra million in your wallet, great. I did a spot for a kitchen contractor that I had to add breathing back into the spot so I would not hyperventilate. I really enjoyed doing the Good Shepard auto glass spot and sounding like a sports journalist doing play by play. I believe in talking to you and letting the emotions bleed through. I was having a long day do spots about a year and half ago. Some of the sound was not coming together and out of my frustration I found myself imitating a local newsman at WBAL Radio in Baltimore, Maryland.
I have also had the opportunity to do voice work for one one of America's most repected authors, Joel Freeman. My voice is on his audio book sold at Wal Mart..."Return To Glory-The Powerful Stirring of the Black Man"
