My Voice Experience

Thanks to an extensive background in radio and broadcast related production, I have a great deal of commercial radio experience. In addition to spot voicing and production experience, I was a co-host for the Y103 WSOY FM Morning Show, and Mid-Day personality for over 5 years. As a result of wearing two hats (or more sometimes) in the broadcasting business, I can deliver a smooth, professional sound for any commerical script, as well as mixing it up, and making it zany..thanks to many coffee-fueled mornings behind the mic on the Morning Drive. In addition to normal, morning radio banter, I also provided the news and entertainment reports, time, temp and weather updates bi-hourly, and voiced station and client promos, Weather Hazard Information and Emergency Broadcast Updates for our sister station NewsTalk 1340 WSOY AM
I have also worked free lance for On Hold Networks, featuring narration during telephone on-hold wait, including providing information on product update and availability, and information including during on-hold wait time.

My Training

I began doing on-air and commercial work in radio in 1997. Due to my 10 years in radio, I am trained for commerical production, including producing my own voice work with in house station production equipment. With this experience, I have learned not only to how to voice an advertising spot correctly, but have run the studio equipment and produced many of these ads myself. My production experience includes working with Cool Edit, Adobe, Audio Vault, Trackstar and Smartcaster equipment. I have done production work, including providing local tags, donuts, intros/outros, for many national companies.
With my on-air experience, I also include my experience reading local, national and entertainment news provided from state and local sources, including AP, and Reuters.
In my experience as a voice talent for the On Hold Network, I have worked closely with a producer, providing the voice work for many diverse companies for IVR, on-hold phone messaging including salutations and wait time, product availablity and product updates, on-hold messaging, and voicemail greetings
