You have done a good job of describing my voice! I have a warm and natural style, but can make my voice do almost anything. My strength is clarity, diction and a well modulated sound. My Voice Experience
Throughout my entire life, I have been told by friends family and strangers alike that I should be on the radio since I had such a beautiful (!) speaking voice. As thirty million Frenchman can't be wrong I figured there was something to this, so I went into New York and trained with David Goldberg of Edge Studios. I recently got my first job recording a training video for Conoco-Phillips. Now that my kids are in college I can devote my time to this chosen career. I have done much in the way of live presentations, have recorded intro messages for theater groups and speak in public as the opportunties arise. Everyone gets something, great wealth or beauty: I got a good voice. I hope to use it to its full advantage.
My Training
BFA Point Park College 1983, vice over classes at various adult schools, trained with and recorded demo tape at Edge Studios in New York City. I perform in local community theater, sing at weddings and funerals,and minored in journalism. I taking writing classes and do free lance writing for magazines. I have done singing telegrams quite often. Currently I run the office of a small car service where I am responsible for marketing,and sales. I am comfortable in front of a crowd or behind a mike.
My Studio Equipment
My office is adjacent to a video production operation. While I myself am not familiar with audio engineering I do have easy access to information and recroding devices.
Additional Skills
I was in corporate America for many years. I was the Vice President of a small surety company. I am entreprenuerial at heart and wish to work for myself.
I have always been a working mother which by definition you must multi-task. I am not afraid of a challenge and know my strengths and weaknesses. I have procrastinated about this for long enough and it is now time to step up and do the work it takes to get work. I am confident in my vocal abiities. As mentioned before, a good voice was what Providence decided would be my special talent.
