My voice is different. It has some slow-speaking aspects and is Southern but also sounds as if I come from another area--like none other. Often people
ask me where I am from and comment on the mixture of dialect. (Not quite sure where I
gathered the mixture of accents from.)

My Voice Experience

I am a teacher by profession and work with high school students including those with disabilites.
I have done this for over twenty years and so to say I have done a lot of oral reading would be an
understatement! I omitted that I teach the English language and literature which is my love.
I have always have a love affair with words. They can accomplish so much with little effort.
I have written all of my life, published a few poems, co-edited a newspaper, written editorial columns and read everything in sight from the age of five.I simply love what a few words can mean to a human being.

My Training

I have a Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities. I currently co-teach in three high school English classes on a junior and senior level. I am the Literary Club Coach and we have placed in the state in the last two years. Once for male vocal and another for essay writing. I took classical piano and pipe organ for twelve years. My singing voice is not bad and I was in the high school chorus and main quartet. I was also in the drama club. I come from a family of eccentrics - a collection of artists of all sorts. And so just being from my family is a good qualification for any artistic pursuit.

Additional Skills

I feel that I have been gifted with many talents. I simply began listening to some audiobooks while traveling and kept thinking I could do a better job narrating than the narrator. I could also use the additional funds so take a shot at listening to my voice. It is interesting!
