I am a stage performer and vocalist, hired for studio work for various studio projects. I've done hooks for rappers, backing vocals for recording artists and lead vocals for instrumentalists.
I have narrated for video trailers, including the book trailer for the anthology Liberated Muse Volume I: How I Freed My Soul (Outskirts Press, 2009).
I am the spokesperson for the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest, interviewed by local and national press.

Khadijah “Moon” Ali-Coleman is a journalist, photographer, educator, literary artist and performer. An arts advocate, Moon facilitates workshops for educators on best practices in applying the arts when implementing curriculum for traditional disciplines such as reading, math, science and history. She has presented nationally at conferences, events and festivals, including the International Soul Music Summit, Mosaic Literary Conference, and the Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed conference.
Moon’s photography and journalistic work has appeared in the Washington Post, The Afro, The Washington Informer, and other print mediums. She pens the monthly “Southeast Stylings” column for East of the River newspaper, covering arts news east of the river in Washington DC. She is currently the DC Community Examiner and DC Hip Hop Music Examiner for Examiner.com and reports headline news for WPFW 89.3.
Moon is content manager and owner of the online space LiberatedMuse, an online space for professional and aspiring performing, visual and literary artists. She is also co-founder of Liberated Muse Productions which produces the annual Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest.
Finally, Moon is editor of the book Liberated Muse Volume I: How I Freed My Soul (Outskirts Press, 2009), available for purchase on Amazon, BarnesandNobles and other online spaces. Her poetry and photography are featured in the book.
