My Voice Experience

Life experience to date:- with a keenness to embark on my journey Into the world of commerce, finishing my schooling I commenced my apprenticeship in the print industry. Armed with seven years of training
I started my own company at the age of 23 in print graphics and advertising.
A large percentage of my clients were in the film support industry and with the innovation of video, it seemed a natural progression for me to embrace
the new media producing promotional videos. This led me into the camera department at The EMI Elstree Studios, working with film crews on some of the biggest movies to have been produced there: “The Shining”, “Star Wars”,
“The Muppets Movies” “Raiders of the Lost Ark”
to name but a few. It was here that I first started to have my leg pulled, working in the studio environment, I was frequently being mistaken for Sean Connery, when that
mistake is being made by the very people working in the business, you just have to take it seriously..

My Training

No formal classes in voice over as such, when I finally accepted the umpteenth request to perform as Sean, I would not agree to do character voice, as in my opinion the quality was not strong enough. I knew my visual resemblance was very close, & though it inappropriate to spoil a great image with poor dialogue, it was 3 years hard work on my part before I was satisfied with the quality of my vocal impersonation of the great man. This produced the right result, when in 1997.Warner Bros. asked me to be Sean’s film double in the movie
“The Avengers” I spent some two and half weeks working on this film, giving me the ultimate opportunity to hone my impersonation. The confidence in my vocal ability, now allowed me to accept voice work. I’ve subsequently been commissioned for live TV. Radio, Commercials, Corporate Hospitality, Exhibitions, Product Launch, etc. October 5th. 2009 saw me live on Stage at The London Palladium performing with Sir Roger Moore, in a tribute to Ian Fleming, having been asked to do so by his niece Lucy Fleming, both an honour & an accolade for me. In February 2009 in Finland filming The “Miss Finland 2009” for Finnish T.V.
