My Voice Experience
Plucked from a high-school classroom in 1976 to play the voice of a young John Adams for a PBS documentary, I soon realized that others love hearing the sound of my own voice, too. On the AM airwaves for CFAC and CHML, I did everything but fly the traffic plane. With dozens of commercials for CBC-TV in the 80s, a number of longer-form projects like Discovery's award-winning "Falconry" by Jasek Strek. Having a family convinced me to make a living writing, selling and eventually programming in the dot-com nightmare. Having avoided most forms of self-mutilation common to broadcasters, I'm now long on castability and short on over-exposure.
