My Voice Experience

While I am new to the business I have given numerous presentations, lectures, and speaking arrangements in my professional career as a doctor (licensed psychologist).

Audience members, colleagues, friends, and others often comment on my baritone, convincing voice as sounding like an authority on any subject matter.

On the personal side many have commented on my voice as deep, sensual, and being told repeatedly "You need to pursue a radio or advertising career because your voice is perfect for it."

My Training

No formal training outside of public speaking courses in undergraduate classes. I have learned over the years to present at numerous lectures to dozens of different audiences.

Additional Skills

As a psychologist and psychotherapist I have to be able to speak to different people on different levels. My voice, tone, inflections, and delivery have to be precise and well-timed. This has helped me to be a guest lecturer at numerous hospitals, schools, and enhances my consulting skills to other professionals.

As a doctor in the field of psychology and behavioral health, giving lectures and working with clients requires a skill at showing competence and demonstrating authority over various topics in order to maximize effect.

In addition, being playful and spontaneous with the audience allows for greater influence. Using different voices increases story-telling and I have become better in this skill over time as well.
