My Voice Experience

Although my professional voiceover work is just beginning, I have always had a voice that caught people's attention. I have the ability to stop listeners in their tracks, just to hear what I have to say.

My voice is convincing, eloquent, clear and crisp. I can be the sassy pre-teen, the sweet "girl next door", the all-American "soccer mom", the no-nonsense corporate audio voice, and many more. I have the ability to adapt to any project and stay convincing and sharp.

I was always the one employee who was asked to record the corporate voicemail system (General Employment Enterprises, IL and DSU Staffing, NC); I always was the one who was used as a company-wide voice example for telemarketing work (Access Direct, IA); I was always the telephone sales person who was #1 in the office for my ability to "lure" people in with my familiar-sounding voice and soothing, friendly, pleasant qualities.

Additionally, I have done stage work for character acting, drama, singing, and dancing.

My Training

I have a B.A. in Psychology, and have had years of public speaking experience in corporate workshops, events, seminars and meetings. I am regularly featured as the "spokesperson" for my employer because of my crisp and polished presentation skills.

I have held lead roles in my high school plays and musicals, been on stage for fine arts (ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, drama) for 15 years of my life, done a couple television commercials for the National Dance Team competition in Sea World (1991) and Illinois Lottery (1990).

Additional Skills

Overall, I think the most favorable aspect of my background to a voiceover project would be my adaptability. I have a voice that can cross-over between sassy "Valley Girl" commercial work to corporate voicemail professionalism. My acting and performance background has given me the training to analyze the needs of a project, to use the voice that is best suited to it. I have a colorful affect and engaging tone and know I can work well in any project. Although my professional voiceover experience is just beginning, my overall performing arts and professional background are very well polished and ready to tackle my next audition!
