Voice Description

My voice is thought of as smooth, cultured, friendly and easy going, but being down to earth, or freneticly energetic is no problem.

Accents are a specialty, particularly Irish, French, English. I speak French as a second language and have a passing knowledge of Spanish.

My greatest strength lies in narration and news reading. Difficult text is not a problem since I have a strong command of the language.

My Voice Experience

I was involved in radio at a young age. As a child, I performed in a radio play and as voice talent for two radio commercials. The commercials received play on local radio stations and the play was broadcast nationally (CBC Radio).

Subsequently, as a young adult, I worked on-air at a local radio station and performed as a theater actor. I'm actively pursuing opportunities to again provide voice-overs or other types of voice talent.

My Training

Formal training was in the form of a Public Broadcasting course. However, training for other types of employment, dispatcher, call centre employee, and theatre, were formative.

Additional Skills

I've held several jobs for which a strong voice and the ability to communicate clearly were the keys to success. Particularly as a call centre employee (inbound customer service) I developped the ability to adapt and relate on many different economic and social levels.
