Voice Description
I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades. I can have that sexy velvety quality when the copy may need that pinch of sex appeal! I also have a host of different character voices that I do, *IE. Big New Yorker guy, senior citizen, good ole boy from Kentucky and the list goes on.
I think one of my strongest attributes is the ability to read documentary or presentation copy very well. My voice has a natural deeper resonance to it which lends well to that kind of copy while keeping the listener interested.

My Voice Experience
I have submitted many auditions for companies like Kwik Trip, Hasbro, and com-ed which all needed a different approaches or voice inflections. During my time at Columbia I worked on an alumni film entitled "Wigger Please". I am always looking to expand my portfolio however possible. I currently have a 3 hour radio show online that I produce every week and create a lot of audio drama/ theater of the mind type pieces for this.
My Training
I currently have a bachelors degree in radio broadcasting from Columbia College Chicago and an associates degree in communications from Harper College in Palatine. During my time at Columbia I had to take 2 voice and articulation classes which focus on what happens when you speak and how to control and utilize the voice to your best benefit. Those were pre requisites so that I could take voice copy and interpretation; the teacher is a professional voice actor. We had many guest speakers and worked with various different professional producers, copy writers, agents, and voice actors to help us create a final demo tape for the end of the semester mailings to various different talent agents for consideration.
I also have a very strong knowledge of audio editing/producing. I worked for the college radio station and other radio classes where I produced many promos, sweepers, and commercials which I voiced and produced.
I always like to keep abreast of what's going on in the voice over industry and thats why I'm always looking in the newspaper, online, or on the TV for documentaries or exposes on current voice over artists. They will usually give some very helpful tips about the industry or their experiences.
