Voice Description

My voice is strong and authoritative. I can do dialects ranging from North Jersey / New York to South Jersey / Philadelphia. I’m also very comfortable doing voices with Standard English and no specific accent. I love doing strange quirky characters with off beat speech impediments that add to the background of characters. These voices characterizations are perfect for video games and animated programs. I can also replicate the style and cadence of old school urban hipsters. One of my favorite voices can be described as a smooth quiet storm R&B radio DJ.

My Voice Experience

I began doing voice over work by accident. I work as a commercial producer at a local CBS FOX affiliate on the central coast of California. When I produce commercials, there is usually some sort of a budget. When I produce promos I’m on my own. Most other producers use the on air talent at the station but getting them to read when you need them to read can be quite an ordeal. One day my boss gave me a project with no budget that needed to be done immediately. She said “voice it if you want to I don’t care”, and that’s how it started.
I now voice the weekly Community Calendar. It’s a sixty-second promotional commercial spot that gives people who need publicity for events free exposure. I also voice my fair share of commercials and promos. Now I’m ready to be a “real” voice over person. Give me a listen, if you like what you hear let’s do business.

My Training

I learned to do voice over work on the job. One of the best ways I think. Over the past 14 years I’ve learned to do voice work and edit audio and video, and I’m still learning every day.

I write, produce, direct, edit, and voice video and audio projects every day so I know what it takes for a project to get done. Most importantly I know what it means to make a deadline. When you have work to get done the last thing you want to do is wait for someone to “get around” to delivering what he or she promised you. I always get the job done.
